This is a lovely rare and highly collectable Waltham Riverside high grade pocket watch from 1897 fitted in an original sterling silver case. This beautiful timepiece has high quality damaskeening engraving on the plates and 17 jewels in screwed in gold jewel settings. The stem wind pendant set movement is engraved A. Riverside and numbered 7489157, which dates it to about 1897. It is marked 17 JEWELS and it is a size 18 model 1892 movement, which was one of the best movements made by Waltham. The enamel triple sunk dial is marked WALTHAM and it is in good condition with a couple of hairlines and an edge chip at 19 minutes. The sterling silver open face swing-out case is marked C. Sterling and numbered 8352 and is in excellent condition with normal wear. It has been fitted with a mineral glass lens which is heavily scratched on the surface. The front bezel screws/unscrews cleanly. The watch is working well, but I do not know when it was last serviced. If not an unpaid item report will be submitted and the item will be re-listed without notice! Unfortunately I have experienced several non-payers in the last year. This item is in the category "Jewellery & Watches\Watches, Parts & Accessories\Watches\Pocket Watches".
